Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (Scba)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The initial training is designed to equip the delegate with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to us breathing apparatus safely in an emergency.

WHAT DOES IT CONTAIN

Delegates will receive theoretical and practical knowledge in the following areas:

• Description of all parts of the set
• Calculation of full and working duration
• On acceptance and Pre-use testing
• Correct donning and doffing
• Working in open air
• Safe stair and ladder procedures
• BA Control
• Entrapped procedure

BENEFITS OF THIS COURSE

• This program is designed to make delegates aware of the need for Breathing Apparatus in hazardous environments and teach acceptance/ Pre-use tests, donning and doffing procedures so that in an emergency situation they will be able to wear breathing apparatus with confidence to carry out critical tasks or conduct a safe escape or potential rescue.
• Successful delegates will be issued with a NSST approved certification for `SCBA‘ after successful completion of the training program. The validity of the certificate is two years.
